Reflective Narrative: The way that I was able to meet this requirement was through studying in Japan for a year through the study abroad program. I decided to study at Toyo University located in Tokyo Japan. I was able to immerse myself completely in the Japanese culture by going there, which I believe is a valuable and unforgettable experience. I was able to develop my Japanese language skills because I was constantly having to use Japanese and read it as well. I also gained a new perspective on the Japanese community because I was able to experience their way of life first hand. I hope to someday return to Japan possibly for work or maybe for school again as it was a very enjoyable experience for me and I would like to have the chance to explore more of Japan as well.
